Tomato Turmeric Soup

Perfect twist to tomato soup to warm up on a cool winter’s day!


  • 2 roman tomatoes diced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup vegetable stock
  • 1 brown onion diced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 teaspoons turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar


  1. Add oil in soup pot with onion and garlic and fry for one minute
  2. Add turmeric and roman tomatoes and cook till tomatoes soften
  3. Add tomato can, vegetable stock, apple cider vinegar, basil and bring to the boil. Then reduce heat to a simmer and let simmer for 10 minutes
  4. Get blender stick and blend till all ingredients are smooth
  5. Cook for another 10 minutes then serve warm
